1. Introduction
CartWall is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the CartWall mobile application (“the App”).
By using CartWall, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Who We Are
CartWall is developed and operated by an independent developer based in Israel.
- Email: support@cartwall.app
- Website: cartwall.app
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Onboarding responses: During setup, we collect your first name, age range, email address (optional), and quiz answers about your shopping habits and goals. This information is used to personalize your experience.
- Wishlist items: Items you add to your in-app wishlist, including name, store, and price.
- Purchase reports:When you log a purchase through the “I bought something” feature, we collect item name, store, price, and whether you felt the purchase was worth it.
- Buy intent responses: When you use the “I want to buy something” friction flow, we collect your responses to help you reflect on your purchase decision and to improve the App.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- User identifier: We assign each user a random user ID (UUID) when you first launch the App. If you choose to provide your name or email address, that information may be associated with your user ID so we can provide app functionality and support.
- Usage analytics: We collect pseudonymous event data (such as onboarding steps completed, flow outcomes, and feature usage) tied to your random user ID. We do not send your name, email, payment information, or Screen Time data to analytics services.
- Device information: Basic device information such as operating system version may be collected for diagnostic purposes.
3.3 Screen Time Data
CartWall uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) API to block shopping apps on your device. All Screen Time data — including app usage information — is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to CartWall’s servers. We do not collect, store, or have access to your Screen Time data.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Personalize your experience within the App
- Save your goals and wishlist across sessions
- Track pseudonymous usage patterns to improve the App
- Provide customer support when you contact us
- Comply with legal obligations
5. Third-Party Services
CartWall uses the following third-party services that may collect and process data on our behalf:

- Mixpanel — pseudonymous usage analytics — mixpanel.com/privacy
- Apple App Store — subscription billing and payments — apple.com/legal/privacy
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your user ID is stored locally on your device using Apple’s Keychain, which is encrypted and secure.
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence.

You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen within the App. Upon deletion:

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
